Updates on Southwest Books and Publishing

Bookstores and libraries as well as other organizations schedule many events for the public to engage with books from local authors and publishers. Some of these events are signings, talks, and readings. These types of events are extremely important to making the public aware of some really great books by local authors and publishers.

Events, book profiles and book reviews will be featured here as a way to share information about these books.

The monthly listing of book events, called Date•Book, is a free service for local authors, publishers, bookstores and libraries. To ADD AN EVENT, click on the button in the lower left of the calendar and fill in all the info requested. Make sure that the following information is provided so people can find the event:

LOCATION (City-type of event: title of book)
DATE & TIME (date and time of event)
FULL ADDRESS ((name-store, library, etc., street, city, state)
DESCRIPTION (name of author, short description of book, phone and email for more info)

Please add any book-related events for your books as soon as it is scheduled (3-4 weeks ahead of the event is best if possible). Any book events in the Southwest can be listed.

Monthly Email Promotion to Bookstores & Libraries

Cover•Reads will be distributed by email on a monthly basis to over 400 librarians and 700 bookstore buyers in the Southwest every month starting the last week of the month. Retailers and libraries can order books directly from the distributors or publishers if they are interested. Cost (per insertion): $40 each for one month; $30 each for three (3) months; $20 each for six (6) months
