During the first two decades of the nineteenth century a new provenance in the local production of religious art emerged in New Mexico, stemming from the parish of Santa Fe. In that period four notable santeros (escultores) of New Mexico’s “golden age” of Spanish colonial art grew into maturity in Santa Fe and became sought after masters of locally created devotional art. Among their associates were carpenters of the previous and contemporary generations. A web of influence emerges from a study of family, occupations, and community in the social and religious lives of Jose Aragon, Jose Rafael Aragon, Jose Anastacio Casados, and Jose Manuel Benavides (a.k.a. “Santo Nino Santero”), escultores of the first half of nineteenth-century New Mexico. These interrelations formed a tapestry of kinship that underscored the outburst of creativity in the production of religious devotional art among Nuevomejicanos. The breakthrough research of this book identifies a style of bultos attributed to Jose Anastacio Casados and highlights the familial relationship between Jose Aragon and Jose Rafael Aragon. This opens a new chapter in the study of the “classic” period of New Mexican Catholic devotional art.

The authors’ research into the identification and genealogies of New Mexican santeros, “saint-makers,” has resulted in this careful, scholarly examination of the relationships between sculptors and carpenters. . . . This well-documented text, which includes genealogical charts of the Aragon, Casados, Ortega, Lucero, Dominguez, and Benavides families, would seem to leave no doubt of their thesis. This is a lovely little book, one that all who have an interest in the religious art of New Mexico will want to read. -- Southwestern Mission Research Center SMRC Revista, Spring 2005
It's a serious work but written invitingly so that everyone from the most devoted collector of art to the once-in-a-while shopper at Spanish Market can enjoy what Carrillo and Esquibel have discovered. -- Santa Fe New Mexican

Among their associates were carpenters of the previous and contemporary generations. This books reveals the pattern of social relationships that connected these escultores with several families of carpenters through kinship, compadrazgo and social occupations. Imagine knowing the truth–the whole truth. Several years ago, the Divine Mother, known to many as Mary the mother of Jesus, began to appear to Michelle Rios Rice Hennelly, a native of Santa Fe, New Mexico. In a remarkable series of apparitions which continue to this day, Mary revealed to her the momentous changes our world is facing, why they are happening, and how we are being called to respond to them.
Mary asked Michelle and her husband to write a book about these messages in order to share them with as many people as possible. A Time of Fire ~ A Way of Fire is that book.
Divided into three parts each of which could stand alone as a separate book, it opens with a stunning overview of Mary’s revelations about events, including wars and natural disasters, that will reshape our lives and world forever. It is the true story of our times–a story which is affecting every soul on this planet and the planet itself.
The second part consists of hundreds of verbatim messages received by Michelle directly from Mary. Arranged in over sixty fascinating topics ranging from personal transformation to details about the global conspiracy that is leading humankind into the greatest spiritual battle our world has ever known. These messages, filled with love and compassion, stand as one of the most extensive compilations of Marian revelations ever documented..
This timely work culminates in a series of teachings by Jesus and Mary on The Book of Revelations, the profound but little understood biblical text which has been shrouded in mystery for two thousand years. Unveiling a secret depth of meaning contained in Revelations, they reveal an essential part of Jesus’ teachings about love, light, energy and spiritual transformation hidden since the earliest days of Christianity.
This ground-breaking book, which is being offered exclusively as an Ebook, will serve as an indispensable guide for you and your loved ones through what Mary describes as the greatest transition our world has ever known. Offering the keys to personal and global transformation, these stunning revelations are a priceless gift from the Divine Mother to all humanity at this critical time in our history.
Every so often an extraordinary book comes along with the power to truly make a difference – to awaken people and alter the course of human history. A Time of Fire~A Way of Fire is one of those books.

A Thriller Set in the New West
Beef ranching, traditionally, had been a satisfying, romantic life, but in time economic pressures forced a change. Ranchers with oil wells subsidized their cattle operations, but as the wells became depleted they were driven to the wall; some sold out, others raised lower grade animals for hamburger chains. One family, however, developed a unique scheme to maintain their empire and sustain an imperial lifestyle—for awhile.
J.D. Maples is the pen name of husband and wife authors; Joan has an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, while Doug, a veterinarian, is a former college Dean. The basis for this story was taken from Doug’s years as a ranch veterinarian in Texas.

Life. It confuses, perplexes and confounds. Many people have written about it, few have offered explanations. In his new book TRUTH, Shaman Ross Bishop offers a unique perspective of life that differs significantly from our normal understanding of it. Bishop provides insight into why life is the way it is and offers some groundbreaking insights into how we might live “fearlessly and passionately.”
Bishop says, “Life can been viewed from many perspectives, and our present view is based upon the antiquated values of the age of conquest. Those old beliefs and values have simply outlived their usefulness. They inhibit our growth and development both as individuals and as a society.”
The Age of Conquest was part of The Age of Karma, a 20,000 year period that has covered much of the period of man’s social existence. During The Age of Karma, certain aspects of spiritual development, like enlightenment, were virtually impossible. We are entering a 50 year period that will be known as The Age of Awakening, and the rules regarding what is possible will be changing.
The Age of Awakening will both foster and encourage us to find different and more profound ways to view our existence, and that involves learning to live from the place of truth. Learning to live from truth powerfully changes how we see and feel about ourselves and how we deal with life.”
Shaman Bishop says, “True inner peace can only be found by shifting perspectives and moving ourselves to the space of truth. You cannot eliminate emotion if you are in the ego space. Take an emotion like fear, for example. Fear arises because we feel separated from our natural selves – from our God-consciousness, or inner truth. Living in the ego-space, we do our best to confront fear, but from the ego, you can only minimize emotion, you cannot eliminate it. We end up failing and then feel worse about ourselves. That,” says Bishop, “is a major flaw in our or present understanding of life.”
Bishop continues, “Using the fear example, if you shift to your center to the space of Universal Truth, you realize that fear is not a natural phenomenon but something created by our ego to fill the space of perceived separation from the Creator. Once you return to the God-space, fear simply ceases to exists, it is no longer relevant.” This is an example of the essential message contained in TRUTH. One of the book’s secrets is that it shows the individual how to move past the ego and live in the God-space.
The God-space is not some esoteric, spiritual practice known only to shaman. The concepts are quite simple and have been with us for quite some time. Bishop points out that, “For thousands of years spiritual teachers of all kinds have urged us to do one simply thing – to open our hearts to ourselves and to each other. Whether you read the Bible, the Torah, the Bhagavad-Ghita, Buddha’s Sutras or the Koran, there is basically one message contained there: ‘Open your heart.’ Bishop points out that, “All any situation needs is more compassion. Whether it is an argument with your partner, being angry with yourself or the situation in Iraq, the whole world would be enormously better off if we would simply open our hearts to each other, but more especially to ourselves.
The problem is that we have all been hurt and opening your heart under those circumstances can be very difficult. TRUTH has been written to help address the problem of holding the God-space. “I get asked abut how to hold the God-space.” says Bishop. “Actually what you have to do is to learn to stop not loving yourself. After that, nature takes care of everything else. I have included a number of useful tools for doing that in TRUTH.”
