Congratulations to all of you.
The New Mexico Book Awards were a huge success again this year. We had over 250 entries in thirty-three categories. The competition in each category was extremely stiff. We had about 68 judges who volunteered to review all the books. Every book was judged by at least 2 people; some books in big categories had as many as seven judges. The judges reviewed all the books. And from that 117 finalists were selected.
The winners will be announced at the Book Awards Banquet on November 21 at the MCM Elegante on Menaul Blvd. in Albuquerque.
Finalists can order copies of the award stickers. They are $15 per 100 stickers plus $8 for shipping and tax. The stickers will be available until December 12 or until supplies are exhausted. So please send in your orders and payment quickly to guarantee your supply.
