Book publishers and authors meet each month in the Albuquerque area. The meetings are sponsored by the New Mexico Book Association and the New Mexico Book Co-op. There will be a topic of discussion at each meeting; they will be casual meetings. All are welcome. Future topics will include taxes, book reviews, book fairs, and printers. Friday, November 21, 2008 -- New Mexico Book Awards Banquet
The winners in the 2008 New Mexico Book awards will be announced at a banquet on Friday, November 21, 2008 at the MCM Elegante Hotel in Albuquerque (2020 Menaul NE at the intersection of Menaul and University). Tickets will be available in July. In addition to honoring the winners and finalists in the thirty-four categories, David Morrell (of Santa Fe) and Denise Chavez (of Las Cruces) will be honored with the 2008 Friends on New Mexico Books Awards.
