Taxes:
New Mexico law requires tax on all purchases, including
items shipped out-of-state, unless a New Mexico Nontaxable
Transaction Certificate is on file. Tax rate is 7.0%.
Discounts:
The standard discounts apply to book orders from Book
Stores and Libraries.
Bookstores:
1-9 books 40% discount
9+ books 45% discount
Libraries/Schools:
1-5 books 25% discount
6+ books 40% discount
Wholesalers:
10 copy min 55% discount plus shipping
Terms:
Net 30 days from date of invoice. Credit card orders
accepted. A finance charge of 2% per month will be added to
all overdue balances over 60 days. Orders over $50.00 must
be prepaid or send three trade references and one bank
reference. All discounts will be forfeited if accounts are
not paid in full within 90 days of the due date. Amounts
over 90 days are referred for collection. Overdue accounts
are liable for all attorney and collection fees.
Examination
and Desk Copies:
Examination copies are available to those considering books
for course adoption or other quantity purchase. Please make
requests on department letterhead, indicating academic
rank, department, course name, expected enrollment, and the
semester or term the course will be offered. The
examination copy will be sent with an invoice that will be
cancelled if an order for 10 or more copies is placed. If
the title is not adopted or purchased in quantity, the book
may be returned in new, salable condition within 90 days
from the date of invoice or it may be purchased.
Shipping:
Standard shipping is UPS.
Shortages:
Shortages or non-receipt must be reported to us in writing
within 30 days of the order date.
Returns:
All unblemished, salable books may be returned for credit
or refund if received within 180 days of the original
invoice date. A copy of the original invoice must be
included with return shipment. Shipments must be returned
prepaid to the . Unblemished or salable books are in their
original shrink wrap, not torn, mutilated, scuffed, or
defaced in any way, including price stickers.
